The poor brahmin’s offer of food was not even one thousandth of the efforts required for performing the Aswamedha yagam, and not even one in lakhs of amount spent on it. But the virtues he had accrued on it were tremendous. “The virtues that come out of our actions depend on the person’s heart, intentions and the circumstances in which it was given, to whom it was given, and what was the condition of the receiver etc”.
The mongoose said, once in a small village, a poor Brahmin lived with his wife and two sons. He was unemployed and he had no means of earning a livelihood in that small village. So he decided to leave for the next big town.
